I painted this several months ahead of the Occupy Wallstreet movement. Perhaps I'm slightly ahead of my time, or perhaps I was just feeling
what millions of others have been feeling up to the point of the protest. That feeling is that we are owned, and we're owned by the worst
kind of self-serving greedy assholes. The likes of Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin all claiming that they're Christian and that it's our God
given right to make as much money was we can.
Well, I have some news for ya'll. God doesn't care if you die rich. How a "Christian nation" came to embody the values of
selfishness, greed, and wealth as a validation of God's love toward us is beyond me. The bottom feeders can all go to hell. In fact, I'd like to
help them get there. I've seen starving people. I've seen desperation. I've seen great wealth. And it strikes me that the poor and helpless
I've seen have far more integrity, work ethic, and the love of God in their hearts than the majority of self-serving yuppies and wanna-be
Christians I've met.
This is my tribute to the Almighty Dollar $$$$$$ ka-ching. Let me throw a coin in the water and watch the greed-heads go after it. It's
a long swim to the bottom. But don't worry, you'll be in good company when you get there.
